Here is my most current list of must reads!
One of my favorite books of all time. The great Dr. had a way of putting things into a perspective that not only engages children, but puts life into perspective for adults. There is so much opportunity in this world and so much potential in you! after all “no one is you’er than you!”
I just finished this book and have recently started following Chris’s blog – The Art of Non-Conformity. In the Happiness of Pursuit we follow many people on quests of self realization. From and woman that cooks a meal from every country for her family to a man that bikes across Turkey.
One of the greatest and most recognized books of all time. A fictional story that gives your real life a different looking glass. Follow the journey of a young man as he chases is fortune and looks to learn the art of Alchemy. In the end he learns that the value of life is in the adventure and the process and not the destination.
This was a little bit of a difficult read for me to get started with at first but now I have read it 3 times. A man is a sum of this thoughts. Your life and situation is a sum of your thoughts and actions and therefore your character. If you can be mindful of yourself then you can create the world you wish to live in.
I had an idea for a book over a decade ago that I was going to call “Small Ice”. There is something about pellet or nugget ice that puts me in a good mood, so I wanted to make a list of all of the amazing little things in life that make people happy. Well in doing my research I found someone had already compiled a list for me. This is a must for everyone’s coffee table.
Simon Sinek is most commonly known in a lot of circles for his TED Talk on Start With Why. In his book you can tap into your “WHY” and moving yourself and your organization forward. Learn how where you are start on the Golden Circle can lead to great failure or great success.
Ill admit I have not read the book to its entirety, but I watch the DVD at least once every three months. 1%of the population holds 90% of the wealth because they know a great Secret; the Law of Attraction. Use the Law to accomplish and obtain all of your desires.
Tim Ferris dominates the “do what you love” industry. He has written many books, thousands of blog posts, and hundreds of pod casts. The premise is simple, find what you love, learn how to monetize it and live the life you wish to live.
One of the first “financial” books I read early in my career forces you to change your paradigm and how you view money and making a living. Are you okay with working 40 hours a week until you retire, if you are even able to? What if you paid yourself first and invested that money in your future. The possibilities are endless.
**Note** I am an affiliate for Amazon and I do get paid for anything you purchase through my links. That being said, I will never promote or affiliate with anything I do not use or appreciate myself. After all, I’m sending the author money and if I don’t believe in what they are doing, why would I support them?
